Something I find fascinating about numerology is what’s called the Cornerstone. The Cornerstone is the first letter in a person’s first name and lets us know how a person approaches life. We find the corresponding number in numerology by numbering the alphabet. For instance an A is a 1, B is 2 and so on. Getting into the double digits, we add the double digit together and reduce. The M, as an example, is the 13th letter in the alphabet, 1 + 3 = 4, so an M is a 4. One cornerstone that always sticks out for me is people with the J names. The J is the 10th letter of the alphabet. In numerology, if a number has a zero behind it, the zero emphasizes the meaning of the number right before it. The 1 is all about creative ideas, leadership and independence, being courageous and being number 1 in life. Put the zero behind it in the number 10 and the characteristics are even stronger. Here’s something interesting, take a look at the Tonight Show hosts: Jack Paar Johnny Carson Jay Leno (briefly Conan O’Brien) Jay Leno again Jimmy Fallen All J’s, except for Conan! And there’s Jimmy Kimmel of Jimmy Kimmel Live, former host of The Daily Show Jon Stewart and Jerry Seinfeld is in a comedy class all by himself. As a side note, with Conan, his Cornerstone the C is a 3, the 3 is about self-expression and humor. He’s in the right business of comedy but the J names clearly rule that show in approaching leadership! Of course this doesn’t mean that J names are the only ones to approached life as leaders! There’s more information in the other Cornerstone letters and a person’s numerology chart tells the bigger picture. But the J cornerstone is fascinating! Take a look at the people with J names in your life or that you see or meet in the future and out of curiosity, see how they approach life!

Last week on August 30th the legendary self-inspiration author, speaker, healer and worldwide publishing empire extraordinaire Louise Hay crossed over. When word hit the streets of this news, there were hundreds of posts on Facebook with many well-deserved tributes. Right when I heard that Louise passed, I felt full body chills, (the chills to me signify that something is true) and immediately felt a celebratory energy. In my many travels of searching for answers to the meaning of life, it resonates that once a person crosses over, there is a big celebration for the soul. For her at least, this rang true to me. Hearing of her crossing also reminded me of the time that I excitedly got to meet Louise at one of the brief “meet and greets” at the first Hay House “I Can Do It” Conference in Atlanta (2003). Wish I had a picture with her, but my phone wasn't smart back then! She was in her 70’s at that time, and in full swing of adding to her accomplishments. I recall when she opened the conference that weekend, she spoke to us about getting clear about what it is that we want. And she added to think big. At the time, she wanted access to a private jet. She didn’t want to own one and be responsible for all that goes with it, but she wanted access to one. I never heard if this came true for her but I’d bet my bottom dollar that it did! She also spoke about being grateful and told us a story about a vacation she had recently taken. I don’t recall where but it was a tropical setting. She was standing in the blue/green tropical water up to her knees and eating a mango. She said she was savoring that mango while standing in the ocean like nobody’s business! Getting into the feeling state of being grateful will bring more she told us. Lots of wisdom going down at that conference! As a numerologist, I couldn’t help but taking a peek into her numerology chart. It’s no surprise at all that Louise was a 9 Life Path. The Life Path shows us the natural talents and abilities of a person. The 9 is the healer and Louise embodied the positive qualities of the 9 energy, which among a few are compassion, leadership in philanthropic endeavors and forgiveness. The amazing numerologist, Juno Jordan, in her book, The Romance in Your Name, has this to say about the number 9: “The opportunities of the nine may span the whole world, ranging from the center of local activity to foreign contacts and foreign businesses. The affairs of the number nine naturally move in wide circles and great achievements. When the desire is awakened to promote civilization, to educate, comfort and protect mankind, its possibilities are unlimited.” I’d say the information in that paragraph has Louise Hay written all over it! And her most recognized book, aptly titled and with the contents inside, is "YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE!" She also had a 9 attitude and her name Louise, a 9 as well. (Louise is not her birth name, she changed her first name at age 24). This brings even more 9 energy for her to boost people up in the world. Louise was born on the 8th of October. The day of birth shows the gifts that one has to offer the world. A few of the 8’s positive qualities are power, strength and executive ability. With the executive ability comes the ability to successfully start a business. And a business she started, an empire more like! Her Destiny/Expression was a 10. The 10 is leadership energy with emphasized leadership skills and ideas. Whenever there is a zero behind a number, it emphasizes the number in front of it. She definitely led the inspirational publishing world with her publishing company! She was #1! If the 9 healer energy, 8 business energy and 10 leadership energy wasn’t enough to accomplish all that she set out to do, take a look at her Heart’s Desire number. It’s a 6, which is the nurturer and is about love and responsibility. Then weave in her personality number 4 which helped her be practical in taking her ideas and bringing them into the physical. Her chart definitely shows the potential that she had for her life and that she took the challenges (which were many for her) and accomplished it! Louise passed at the age of 90. The zero emphasizes the 9. It was like a wink and a nod to her Life Path number, her love for humanity and all of her accomplishments. The 9 can also signify endings and completions! Well done, Louse! Thank you, I am grateful! You truly were an extraordinary woman and your HEALING energy will continue on in your books and in the hearts of many! Universal Years 2016 & 2017 I thought it fitting to give an update on the Universal Year number since we are already in October! With the current year being 2016, to find the Universal Year we add these numbers together 2+0+1+6 = 9. The world is currently in a 9 Universal Year number. The 9 represents endings, completions and celebrations. It can also be about drama. This explains a lot about what we've been seeing in the world! In addition, the Universal Year runs consecutively in 9 year cycles. This means that a 9 year cycle (2008-2016) is completing and coming to a close at the end of 2016. Wow, energetically this is BIG! 2017 is a 1 year which represents new beginnings and is the start of a new 9 year cycle. What do you think this new year, new 9 year cycle, new energy will bring? ____________________________________________________________________ Are you curious about the numerology energy for 2015? 2015 is a Universal 8 year … 2+0+1+5 =8. Since it is a Universal year, this energy affects everyone on the planet. The 8 in numerology is about money, power and abundance. It’s about seeing the overall big picture and stepping into our power, if we choose to do so. It’s a spectrum rich with potential and ambition on one end and goes all of the way to downfall and destruction on the other end. The 8 is a balancing energy after all. Turn the 8 on its side and it becomes the infinity symbol. On the global stage, we will certainly be watching corporations and governments play this out on an even larger-scale spectrum. We will see the super heroes and the villains. Both like power and money! (Well, I do know Batman likes money.) On an individual level, the spectrum will show an increase in rags to riches stories (hmmm, I believe a new version of Annie is in theaters right now) and also bankruptcies. I recently saw the movie, The Gambler, where Mark Wahlberg’s character works his way through a gambling addiction (I thought there was some good inspiration in this film!). One of his lines goes something like this: “Sometimes you have to lose it all in order to build it back up.” The opportunity to step into our power is ripe for the taking, in whatever way we choose to do so. What can be done to tap in and utilize this big energy in 2015? Have a seat, get into some good feeling thoughts/energy and write out your intentions and/or goals for the year. I love metaphors! One way to think of this is like you are planning for a trip. Start feeling into the energy of where you want to go. Why do you want to go there? What steps do you need to take in order to get started on your trip? Put your financial plans in the mix as well. Clarity and focus will get you on your preferred road faster. I also love it when I find inspiration through others that I admire. Look at these fabulous creators and their ideas on setting intentions: 1. Lana Bos - Lana wrote this on her FB Page - “Brilliant New Year’s Exercise - last year - on New Year's Day 2013 - I wrote a letter to myself - as the future version of me. So I channeled Lana Bos that was a year in the future (December 31st 2014), and had her write a letter to the then present version of me (Lana in December 2013) about the year that has passed and what had happened. Reading the letter a year later was funny! It all came to fruition naturally!" 2. Debbie Brickell (www.manifestingmadeeasy.com) - Debbie is a manifesting master teacher, energy alchemist and visionary channel. This great article is based on setting intentions for the Winter Solstice, but Debbie's steps can easily apply to the New Year as well: http://manifestingmadeeasy.com/the-magic-of-the-winter-solstice/#more-4017 3. Jeannette Maw (http://www.goodvibeblog.com) - she's the enthusiastic Good Vibe Coach and has a wealth of information on her blog. Here's her latest on intentions: http://goodvibeblog.com/my-new-year-intention/ Here’s to 2015 and the 8 energy, let the adventure begin! There are a lot of great messages to be found in numerology. In fact, numerology can help us with our day to day living. Here's a case in point. Had I been paying attention to my own personal numerology this past weekend, I would not have had to receive a message in the form of a ticket from a policeman! Prior to this year, the last moving violation that I received was well over 25 years ago. This year alone I have already received 2 tickets. I haven't changed anything. I'm a responsible driver and yet I live in California. I'm not sure about anywhere else, but going a bit over the speed limit seems to be quite natural for my area. Even though there were several of us going over the speed limit, I was the one pulled over. Why was I the chosen one? It's all in the numbers. Each of us has a Personal Year that runs from January through December. This goes consecutively each year in cycles of 1 through 9. I happen to be in a 4 Personal Year. When the number 4 appears in a personal year, some of the messages that it brings are to be practical, cautious, down to earth and trustworthy. In a personal year, this phrase is the one to heed: You cannot break the rules! In addition to having a Personal Year, we each have a Personal Month as well. July happens to be a 2 personal month for me. Some of the meanings of the 2 are cooperation, peace, harmony and sensitivity. The message of the 2 is: Patience. We are currently in a Universal Year 6 (calculated by adding the numbers of the current year: 2+0+1+3 = 6). The number 6 is about balance, family, nurturing and responsibility. The key word here for me: Responsibility. In addition, it was the 4th of July holiday weekend. Also, my first ticket I received earlier in the year was on the 4th day of that particular month. If that wasn't enough of a message, the speeding ticket over the weekend was received on the 6th day of the month. Although I was less than thrilled to receive a ticket from the policeman, at least I can be amused by finding the synchronicity in the numbers. The overall message in this situation: Don't break the rules + Patience + Personal Responsibility = No more tickets this year! If you happen to be looking for me on the road, I'll be the one going the speed limit! |
